Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor at The Great Indian Kapil Show
The Indian Express quoted Rajkummar Rao saying that Janhvi travels everywhere with her Pilates equipment.
Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor are winning hearts through their performance in the recently released Mr & Mrs Mahi. The lead actors are getting an overwhelming response from all corners. Well, recently both were seen gracing The Great Indian Kapil Show. During the show, Rajkummar Rao revealed that there is one thing without which Janhvi does not travel and it goes everywhere.
The Indian Express quoted Rajkummar Rao saying Janhvi travels everywhere with her Pilates equipment. He shared that many times in hotels when he goes to the gym, he sees there is her Pilates equipment. Reacting to the same, Archana Puran Singh asked Janhvi how she carries such a huge piece of equipment around, the actress replied that it is carried in a production tempo with other things. Rajkummar also revealed that Janhvi gets irritated when she is served bad food.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the film managed to earn these collections due to Cinema Lovers Day where tickets were priced at a flat rate of Rs 99 for the standard versions. ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ has reportedly drawn around 7.5-8 lakh cinegoers to theatres despite being a small-budget film.
If the film holds well on Saturday as well as Sunday then the first weekend collections can be “as close to Rs 20 crore nett as possible.” The film follows the story of a failed cricketer, Mahendra (Rajkummar), who discovers that his wife (Janhvi) is a die-hard fan of cricket.
News18 Showsha has rated the film 3/5. Our review said, “While the writing lacks the depth, director Sharan Sharma, Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao make up for it. The film is packaged well, with Sharan adding all the right elements of a trademark Dharma film making it a visually appealing film. He also falls back on the refreshing music album which works well in his favour. Sharan also benefits from his leading stars, who follow his vision seamlessly. Janhvi imbibes the role of a cricketer well. She brings a breath of fresh air every time the film gets a little gloomy. Rajkummar as the dejected Mahendra steals the show. He carries the film on his shoulder on most parts. The scenes in which he embraces the grey side of his character proves he is a great fit for the role.”
